About Our Team

The backbone of our operation.

We feel that the most important asset of our business is our employees and their ability to satisfy our customers’ automotive service and repair needs. We work hard to provide an enjoyable working atmosphere and pay our Technicians fair wages. We want their number one focus to be on fixing our customers’ vehicles, taking the time that is needed to do the job right, the first time.

In addition, our knowledgeable and friendly service advisors are always ready and quick to help our customers. It is a team effort, and we appreciate the contribution made by each member of our staff.

Administration / Customer Service

I’ve been Silvano’s partner since 1976, in business and as his wife. It’s a great feeling to know that even after this many years we still enjoy working and being together. Although like Sil, I’m semi-retired, I still help to ensure customer care is managed, along with ongoing bookkeeping responsibilities. It is this customer care that we have offered for so many years that has made Sil’s Complete Auto Care your first choice in automotive service.

These days I also spend a good portion of my time involved in church organizations and enjoying the quality of life with my family.

Service Advisor / Consultant

I’ve recently returned to my hometown of Mississauga but during a number of years spent in Calgary, I held several positions at a dealership, from head electrical diagnostic technician, trim technician, shop foreman, and completing my time there as a service advisor. While I was shop foreman, we improved from last place to the #1 ranked dealer in quality repairs in Calgary!

There are some notable differences here at Sil’s compared to my time in the dealer environment. Importantly, we work to maintain the relationship we have with our clients, but back at the dealer, I was one of 5 advisors, trying to communicate with over 30 clients a day, along with technicians and cashiers…keeping everyone in the loop about the repair was a challenge!

Here at Sil’s Complete Auto Care, we stress the relationship, knowing our client and their vehicle’s history. A big part of what we do is educating our clients so they understand the reason behind certain repairs or maintenance items, removing that “scare” commonly associated with our business when there is a lack of knowledge.

At the end of the day you are paying for our technical knowledge and our experience in communicating your vehicle needs to you. I check your vehicle in our shop in the morning, maintain open communication throughout the day with you and our technicians, and then ensure all is well when you return to pick up your vehicle.

Graduating from Computrek Automotive Management and Advisor Training here at Sil’s has enhanced the already premium level of service I provide.

Aside from the automotive day to day, I enjoyed being on the 2006 winning Western Racing league pitcrew team and rock climbing. I look forward to meeting you when you’re in for your next visit!

Licensed Technician

Seventeen years already in the business…as they say, time flies when you’re having fun! I was mentored by Sil himself and while he may have been a tough teacher, I learned so much. My entire automotive career has been at Sil’s Complete Auto Care, from my days as a high school co-op student, throughout my apprenticeship, to today.

Throughout the years, I have attended over 150 training courses covering imports, domestics and European vehicles. I am Ozone Depletion Certified (ODP) for air conditioning systems, Drive Clean Emission Technician Certified, Hybrid System Trained and Computrek Mangement trained.

When I’m not working on your vehicle I enjoy playing with my band Fourlines. We’ve been together for many years, toured across Canada and play regularly in Port Credit. You can hear us at www.myspace.com/4lines. I also enjoy spending time with my fiancée Ruth and having a great time with all my family here.

----------Ron Kitchen
Licensed Technician

I, too, have recently moved back to Ontario from Alberta, but back from Fort McMurray. I’ve been in this trade since 1964 and have been a certified licensed technician since 1987 with years of experience in Chrysler, Toyota, Ford and Nissan. I have focused on performing quality diagnostics and repairs throughout my whole career.

It was a nice surprise to see the level of care and service Sil’s Complete Auto Care extends its customers, far exceeding what was expected in the dealer world. Here we inspect and diagnose properly first, then ensure a quality inspection is done as well and perform not only the specific fix, but also any associated service that benefits the customer for the long term care of their vehicle. Having access to the latest modern maintenance equipment, numerous diagnostic tools and some of the best diagnostic websites allows me to perform my job to the highest level.

Aside from work, I have climbed to the summit of Mount Edith Cavell in Jasper Park, travelled the ice roads of Northern Alberta and I enjoy working on my 1968 Corvette.

----------Jonathan Lee
Apprentice

I recently entered the Automotive Motive Power Apprentice Program at Mohawk College in Hamilton. I’m learning the proper skills of the trade every day under Corey, Ron and Sil – they are always quick to help me with any questions I have. I spent some time at a “quickie lube shop” and I really notice a major improvement in the level of service and quality we provide here at Sil’s Complete Auto Care.

When I’m not working I enjoy fishing and playing hockey with friends and family.
