Silvano, affectionately known as Sil, distinguished himself as the founder, esteemed leader, and owner of our enterprise from September 1976 to 2009. His visionary journey commenced at a modest two-bay BP gas station located in Clarkson, Ontario. Sil’s unwavering commitment to the business, coupled with his role as a former mentor to past great technicians, has significantly contributed to the enduring legacy of our organization.

Since his well-deserved retirement, Silvano now relishes the pleasures of life, including leisurely rides on his John Deere lawn mower, tending to his bountiful vegetable garden, meticulously restoring his cherished 1962 Ford Thunderbird, and providing a supportive ear as a trusted confidant to Carlo when discussions regarding the company arise. Sil’s continued involvement in the business as an experienced guide further underscores his profound dedication to the cultivation of an exemplary customer experience.

My journey within the family business commenced in the early 1980s, where I immersed myself in the responsibilities of the enterprise. Starting with humble tasks like fueling vehicles for the Clarkson locals, I progressively ventured into more complex roles, assisting with tire repairs, supporting auto mechanics, and ensuring the overall tidiness of the establishment.

Upon my graduation from St. Paul Secondary School, I pursued higher education at Ryerson University, where I honed my skills in Marketing and Management. Subsequently, in 1994, I made the full-time commitment to join the family business, thereby channeling my educational background and passion into our enterprise. In 2004, I proudly completed the Automotive Power Technician Program at Mohawk College, further bolstering my expertise in the automotive industry.

The mantle of ownership for Sil’s Complete Auto Centre was officially passed to me in 2009. As the steward of our legacy, I am excited about the promising future and continued success of our company. In 2013, we embarked on a significant journey by relocating to our current facility, a move that has unequivocally contributed to our thriving progress and ongoing prosperity.”

Tim is a burgeoning apprentice who plays a pivotal role in elevating the customer experience through his dedicated commitment to quality control processes. In his capacity as both a devoted father and a highly experienced professional, our licensed 310S technician and former engine specialist repair shop owner, with an illustrious career spanning over 25 years, has now found his abode at Sil’s Auto.

Evan, our most recent addition to the team, is a promising 310S apprentice, having already accrued over four years of experience in the trade. His enthusiastic approach and a strong desire for continuous learning have made an immediate impact within the ranks of Sils Auto.

Evan is resolutely committed to honing his skills and progressing towards becoming a licensed professional Technician. Senior Apprentice, Junior Diagnostician

Joshua is a registered and highly experienced automotive 310S apprentice, a notable asset to our team. His unique distinction lies in being one of the select few who embarked on a journey away from Sil’s Auto and subsequently returned. Service Technician

A devoted family man and a seasoned, licensed 310S technician with an extensive track record of over 15 years, Dave contributes his wealth of experience to our esteemed organization, focusing on general service and repair functions. John

Senior Service technician

John, a licensed and accomplished technician holding both 310S and 310T certifications, boasts an impressive professional tenure spanning over 35 years. His illustrious career is further highlighted by the mentorship of more than 100 apprentices, a testament to his leadership acumen and innate technical prowess.

Of noteworthy lineage, John’s father was a key figure in the engineering team responsible for the Avro Aero “UFO” flight program, which further underscores the heritage of excellence and innovation that runs through his veins.

John stands as a pivotal asset to our team, his presence invigorating the workplace with his joyful enthusiasm that sets the tone for each day, ensuring the best possible start. Lead Diagnostician & Technician Leader

Corey is not only a devoted family man but also an ardent animal lover with a trio of beloved dogs. As a highly accomplished and licensed 310S technician, Corey’s tenure at our company dates back to his co-op placement in 1994. Over the years, he has risen to the position of shop foreman, exemplifying his exemplary leadership skills and unwavering commitment to his responsibilities.

Corey’s extensive experience and dedication to professional growth are evident in his specialized focus on performance, drivability, and the resolution of complex vehicle system failures. These skills demand exceptional patience, unwavering focus, and a keen intellect, attributes that Corey possesses in abundance.

Moreover, Corey serves as our lead technician for Hybrid and Electric vehicles, playing a pivotal role in mentoring both our apprentices and seasoned technicians alike. Anna Sabucco

Administration / Customer Service

Anna, following in the footsteps of Sil, has transitioned into retirement but continues to contribute to our operations by providing valuable assistance in various financial processes. In a light-hearted manner, it is often humorously mentioned that we keep Anna on our staff to offer her a reprieve from the home world of Sil, thereby playfully acknowledging her ongoing involvement in the business.

Have gone multiple times. Last time I went they noticed I had tires in my trunk but realized I didnt book a tire swap. They called me to clarify if that was something I wanted. SInce it was the main reason I went I was very happy they called.
